The Greatest Night in Pop Nominated for Three 2024 Emmy Awards

We are excited to share that Netflix’s The Greatest Night in Pop, a project that MakeMake creatives are proud to be a part of, has received three Emmy Award nominations. The film is nominated in the categories of Outstanding Directing For A Documentary/Nonfiction Program, Outstanding Documentary Or Nonfiction Special, and Outstanding Sound Editing For A Nonfiction Or Reality Program.

The Greatest Night In Pop looks back on the recording of the now iconic charity single “We Are The World,” using archival footage and exclusive interviews to explore what was at stake as some of the era’s most popular musicians — including Michael Jackson, Lionel Ritchie, Stevie Wonder, Cyndi Lauper, and Huey Lewis — raced to put vocals to tape in one night.
